Michael Rosemann

Dr Michael Rosemann is Professor and Head of the School of Information Systems, Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. This School includes QUT’s Business Process Management Discipline, one of the largest BPM groups in the world.

Dr Rosemann is the author/editor of seven books, more than 230 refereed papers, Editorial Board member of ten international journals and co-inventor of US patents. His publications have been translated into Russian, Mandarin, German and Portuguese.

His research in the area of conceptual modelling has been focussed on the quality of models, context-aware, configurable models and modelling in the large. More recently, he has worked in the areas of digital transformation and innovation systems.

Michael has been the Chair of the first International Conference on Business Process Management outside Europe (2007) and a keynote speaker at most global international BPM conferences. His research projects received funding from industry partners such as Accenture, Brisbane Airport, Infosys, Rio Tinto, SAP and Woolworths. Michael regularly provides advice to organisations from diverse industries including telco, banking, insurance, utility, retail, public sector, logistics and the film industry. 

Dr Rosemann is a disruptive thinker with a digital mind and a passion for corporate innovation, revenue resilience, process design and research management. His work is focused on creating exciting future worlds with today’s possibilities that make current practices obsolete.
