Ensemble Modeling is a form of modeling that takes into account the need for modeling agility - or the ability to adapt quickly and easily to change.  This is particularly useful for data warehousing applications but is also useful for other data integration initiatives.  The technique itself can be applied to conceptual, logical and physical modeling efforts.  The context describing a keyed instance of a concept is split out into several tables and this Unified Decomposition is helpful when integrating and aligning context at both the conceptual and the logical levels.

Over the past decade Ensemble Modeling techniques have gained momentum around the world.  The most common forms of Ensemble are Data Vault and Anchor Modeling.
